It is not by chance, fate, fortune or misfortune that we meet the people and have the experiences that we do or don't. .......... If you never ask the question the answer will always be NO........... No one falls in love by choice, it is by chance No one stays in love by chance, it is by work No on falls out of love by chance, it is by choice............. I always wanted a happy ending ... Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it without knowing what's going to happen next.................... Be who you are and say what what you feel because those who matter mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Dr. Suess ..........I am: At best an OPTIMISTIC person (I always try and find the best in any person and situation) . I am hopeful and appreciative. INQUISITIVE (I like to learn, challenge myself to grow and become a better person every day ,some days I do better than others) Challenge my mind not my patience LOL HEAD STRONG ( Like Popeye I am what I am LOL . I try to have an informed opinion, meaning I have to be able to argue both sides of any argument ) COMMUNICATIVE ( I failed at mind reading, so I expect that if someone is wanting me to know something that they will tell me, as I will do to them ) Likes: People with passion, heart, strength of character, sense of humor, optimism, focus, kindness. I have an attraction for fur (facial/chest) on men -though not a necessity. A great kisser and cuddler , a man who holds hands while driving and with a look from across the room you know that you, rock his world?. Beliefs: I follow the power of positive thinking or the law of attraction. Esther and Jerry Hicks, abrahamhicks.com are two people that I believe embody this way of experiencing and living. I do not follow a formal institutionalized religion but take from the world that which best helps me to move to a place of inner peace and become a better person to others. I strive for forward momentum in my life (welcome new challenges and respect and consider different opinions/perspectives) and I am learning to pause, breathe and take life in before it passes me by. Favorite Authors: Abraham-Hicks, Robert Fulghum, Michael Losier, William Glassier, don Miguel Ruiz, and anything else that makes me smile/laugh. TV shows: A big Star Trek the Next Generation fan, Corner Gas, Twilight Zone Music : a fan of country and folk music mostly. It has been an interesting journey - As I have believed - you attract into your life that which you are resonating. Nothing really ever happens by chance but more so by OPPORTUNITY to teach us that which is in our best interest to learn. I have a variety of interests; the most important being my interest in others and helping to create the conditions upon which people can be successful (I am open to increasing my interests as the opportunity presents). I believe that building a life with someone is not a 50/50 input ratio but more of a 100/100. I take care of myself both physically and emotionally as best I can, acknowledging that there is always room for continued growth and development. I strive for forward momentum in my life (welcome new challenges and respect and consider different opinions/perspectives) and I am learning to pause, breathe and take life in before it passes me by. I am a man with faults (or areas for future development as I call them), but am also working to become the better man that I want to be for myself and those around me. I am a man who is fairly educated and have been told (and I believe it) quite opinionated, although I like to think of it as strong willed. I believe that it is important to be able to see both sides of any issue (or as many sides as their might be) and to be able to argue for both sides - doing such ensures a greater likelihood of being informed and opens one up for the opportunity for greater growth and development. The motto, Seek first to understand and then to be understood, is one I try to (not always successfully) live by. Here is a list of some of the things that I like : holding hands with a special man (The spaces between your fingers were created so that another's could fill them in.), holding (spooning) all night long, looking across the room and knowing that the man across the room is mine (with or with out the handcuffs - LOL - just joking), kissing with my eyes open so that I can see deep into the depth of his soul, making love with the lights on (I am not great at brail so sometimes have to see where I am going - LOL), kissing my partner in a way that I can take in his breath and share with him mine, spending the mornings in bed with my partner connecting, having date night at least once a week with my man DANCE LIKE NOBODYS WATCHING, SING LIKE NOBODY?S LISTENING, LOVE LIKE YOURE NEVER GOING TO BE HURT/LIKE ITS NEVER GOING TO HURT AND LIVE LIKE THIS IS HEAVEN ON EARTH is a statement that encapsulates what I continue to strive for - hmmm - tough I could use some practice in two-stepping, keeping on key and well having a man to love - grrrr (so am open to offers of help in any of the areas) I think it is important to hold out for a man that not only moves your world but creates a world for; a man who can match or better ones sense of creating a life of partnership. A man who is his own person and who is educated (not necessarily from academic institutions), motivated (but heck also can be comfortable just laying around), optimistic, an equal (it is the whole walks beside me, not ahead or behind ) though at some time one may be more of a leader or organizer), smells good when wearing nothing (though cologne can be nice - lol), who laughs well and often, who knows the pull of the moon and the power of the slightest touch, who dances to the slowest of songs really, really well . A man should stand up for what is moral and right, respects himself and others (always), would give up his seat on a bus to someone in need and would help those less fortunate than himself. He should be polite, say please/thank-you/excuse-me/bless-you. He is into family, friendships, high/rough surf, Christmas mornings, fireplaces, Country music, holding hands while driving, keeps his eyes open while kissing , bathtubs not quite big enough for two, laying on a blanket or in the back of a pick-up watching the stars, holding on tight in a hug - never being the first to let go, the sound of rain on a tin roof... Inside the man should exist hope, faith and courage with the ability to be honest. A partner should not run from conflict and understands what it means to say, fuck you with love. Physical attraction is important - can't deny chemistry, and we all have a physical type that gets us going. It is the heart of the man that is important. A man to who will not follow or lead, but one that will walk aside - sometimes gently pulling or pushing. RELATIONSHIPS--of all kinds--are like sand held on your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively and the relationship slips away and is lost. I'm looking for a partner who has already spent time experiencing life on his own and feel's he has sowed his oats. And finally (probably by now you are thinking -well it's about time!, someone who is fairly independent and can be left alone in a room without getting into trouble or feeling outnumbered. If you have chosen to read this far I thank you. If want to know more feel free to ask - doesn't cost you anything . If you might be looking for a great guy for a friend then stop in - you may be surprised at what you find.
