I am a 41-year-old HIV positive man. I have been aware of my condition since I was 19 and have been living quite well with it since then. I don't think that both people being HIV poz in a relationship can assure it will work, but I do think that beginning anything based on truth does help a lot. I have had long-term relationships with other HIV men and also with other non-HIV men. Our conditions, being it one or the other did not mean that we were meant to be happily together forever. I just think it is a detail, neither too important nor not important at all.
