I've had the soul of a cowboy all my life.
I was raised in eastern oregon in ranch and timber country. My family homesteaded a ranch here in 1882. I was raised as a redneck catholic boy in a town that "din't abide no queers!" So I denied who I was for many years. I stuffed my gay identity down deep. I married twice, had four kids, lived miserably and was granted a "pardon" by two wives and set free twice. I love my kids and have been a damned good Dad, I've raised them all up now. Four years ago I won my first belt buckle for Bareback Riding. It was a special category for "old farts." Out of six guys, only three of us hung on for the eight! I had the highest score at a 63. Not much, but it won me a buckle! Any Buckle Bunnies out there? LOL! I've written one book on my family's western history and now am finishing a historic novel that will be published next year. I'm looking to contact good people with the souls of cowboys, make some friends, and see where it leads.
